Return to training

It is official! We have now received official confirmation that we may return to using the grounds and training can commence from 2 June 2020. I have included the schedules below. These could be subject to change, and as such if you have any issues please contact Sarah (she has put a lot of work into these to get us back - many thanks goes her way). A reminder to all coaches and managers to please attend the canteen before training to receive information around the new guidelines.

On a side note - it was great to here from the NSW Minister that junior sport may return from 1 July. Once we receive more information we will pass it on.

COVID-19 Situation Update

UPDATE 26 MAY: In exciting news, it is appearing likely that we will likely have access to the grounds from 1 June to allow a return to training in line with the guidelines provided by Football NSW. More information will follow, including field and time allocation for each time. Please be prepared to stick to these as they have been designed to allow us to meet new guidelines. We will also need to follow the guidelines provided by FNSW - an explanation of these guidelines can be found here and further details are available here. We would like to thank you for your continued support

ORIGINAL: Football Federation Australia (FFA) and Football NSW (FNSW) have decided to suspend all levels of grassroots football activity, including training and games until at least 31 May 2020.

While we are all staying at home, the FFA has announced a Skills Hub which can give you ideas for ways to practice at home!

Football NSW have cancelled the State Cup competition for 2020. They have also provided a series of FAQs in their latest update

For full details, please see the below circulars:

We will keep you up to date with the latest advice as it is available

Message from the Treasurer - Player Payment Plans

Today in consultation with the executive committee we have made the decision that all players payment plans have been frozen.

As a club St Mary's Eaglevale has recognised that with the current situation with the COVID-19 virus and many people being out of work at the moment all payments have been frozen. With that said there were some that went through today as there was nothing we could do to stop those payments, but as of today no more payments will be deducted from your accounts until we have a clearer understanding of what the future soccer competion will look like.

I urge all players registered please do not cancel your registration. If you are going through hard times please just
contact me Wayne Lewis ( and we will do everything in our power to allow all the people to play.
These are very unusual and trying times but if we stick together as a soccer community/family we will make it through.

Our lives may be a little different on the other side but we will make it. Please everybody stay safe and healthy. Abide by the safe distancing rules and we will see you all on the other side.

Yours in Soccer
Wayne Lewis
